What is LabCoachᴬᴵ?

LabCoachᴬᴵ is your purpose-built conversational coach, grounded in LifeLabs Learning Tipping Point Skills™ and decades of behavioral science. LabCoachᴬᴵ gives learners a confidential, low-stakes space to practice critical behaviors anytime they need, boosting confidence, skill fluency, and retention between live sessions.

How it works

1. Enablement: In the Admin Hub settings, you can toggle LabCoachᴬᴵ on and accept terms and conditions to activate it in their account. See screenshot below.
   • The selected setting will apply for all learners within the account Team List. After this feature is enabled, all LabCoachᴬᴵ use-cases will be enabled and available to learners in your account.
   • If you don't see this option available in your settings, reach out to your Consultant to learn more about adding LabCoachᴬᴵ for your learners.
2. Privacy: you do not have access to learners' individual chat logs. 

Learners

1. Launch from the Learning Center: Access LabCoachᴬᴵ via a dedicated button in the LifeLabs Learning Center.

2. Choose a use-case: Select from five focused skill areas:
   1. Feedback: Deliver feedback that's clear and actionable. Prepare for conversations, reduce defensiveness, and build a high-trust feedback culture.
   2. Delegation: Delegate clearly and confidently, with strong follow-through. Plan handoffs, set expectations, and keep momentum while developing others.
   3. Coaching: Practice coaching by asking better questions, listening deeply, and building self-reflection in others. Guide conversations that create insight and foster growth.
   4. Strategic Thinking: Think strategically by clarifying complex decisions with structure and focus. Define success, uncover obstacles, and choose your next move.
   5. Communication: Make your message land every time. Prepare for high-stakes conversations, craft clear messages, and use techniques to create understanding and connection.
3. Chat with LabCoachᴬᴵ: Type in a real or hypothetical scenario you’re preparing for (e.g., “I need to give feedback to a team member who keeps missing deadlines.”)
4. Receive grounded guidance: LabCoachᴬᴵ returns coaching prompts and a structured script based on LifeLabs Learning related Behaviors and Methods.
5. Rehearse and refine: Learners can rehearse the moment with targeted feedback, retry their responses, adapt their script, or request alternative phrasing before applying what they receive coaching on to a real conversation. If you're stuck, try asking LabCoachᴬᴵ:
   • What can you do?
   • How can you help me?
   • How should I prompt you?

You can also revisit your chat after clicking out. Your chats will remain accessible until A) seven days of inactivity in the chat or B) you manually clear the chat. 

Your chats are confidential and cannot be viewed by Admins.

All Memberships purchased via self-serve directly on our website will have LabCoachᴬᴵ enabled by default at no additional charge.

LabCoachᴬᴵ is available as a paid add-on feature for our partners purchasing Membership and Team Training via SOW. The feature will be disabled by default, with Admins in control of manually toggling it on or off at their discretion.
